Occasionally, I’ll preach at different churches in Kansas. I love this because it causes me to think. I tend to go through my day thinking about important stuff like, “What will I have for lunch (or supper)?”, “Do I have any more candy?”, or “Is it time for a nap?”. My mind doesn’t naturally go to those deeper thoughts – unless I have something going on where I have to speak to a group.
I’ve been doing this for over ten years now and I’m amazed at how much I’m learning! I have read through the Bible, front to back, several times and I decided to read it from back to front – chapter by chapter. I’m surprised by how the changed perspective brings out different aspects of the Bible! So often, when we read a book from front to back, we “know” what’s coming up next, so we don’t pay that much attention to the detail. In reading from back to front, I see the consequences before I see the causes and I’m paying more attention to the details. I thought it might be fun to share some of the stuff I’m learning so I added this page. Let me know what you think!
This theory works in many ways, if you stop to think about it. Clever!
I agree!!! Great minds!
